Research Summary: Small and rural communities have experienced unique challenges related to COVID-19. Responses that these communities and all levels of government can take to ensure emergency preparedness require broad-based, community-focused data to be collected and exchanged. This mixed methods project is collecting data on the experiences of residents from small and rural communities that can be used to inform policy, programming, and planning decisions. Results will be used to make recommendations on how the province can continue to support small and rural communities and develop appropriate response plans for COVID-19 and future disruptive events.
