The University of Guelph announces the 4th annual Gryphons Read common reading project, which will encourage first-year students and other members of the university community to connect with each other and to enter into meaningful conversations by reading and discussing the same book. Gryphons Read is a collaboration between the College of Arts, the Office of the Provost, the Library, and the Experiential Learning Hub.

This event will witness the premiere of A SONIC TAPESTRY: Guelph Musicians' Reactions to COVID-19. Join us for a live streaming of 11 original works by artists from the Guelph region. The premiere broadcast will be followed by a live, virtual roundtable including participating artists and moderated by Drs. Alyssa Woods and Kimberly Francis of the University of Guelph's Department of Music. Registered participants will be invited to listen and interact with artists online. Both the premiere and the roundtable are free and open to the public following registration.

Faculty and staff are working hard to develop innovative and engaging ways to support your learning this Fall. As we continue our preparations, we want to hear from you! We invite you to join us in a virtual town hall to discuss the Fall semester – What adaptations have we made? What does alternative delivery mean to you? What is available this Fall? Facilitated by Associate Dean Academic, Ruediger Mueller, a brief overview of the Fall semester will be provided leading to an open forum to discuss and answer your questions.

The Graduate History Symposium Committee at Waterloo is pleased to invite you to a three day research symposium via Zoom to engage with the exciting research happening across the TriU community.  This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow TriU students, discuss ongoing research and win some great prizes. Presentations begin on Wednesday, July 15 with a panel on Digital History chaired by Dr. Ian Milligan.

This session will explore the importance of using a learner-centred approach when designing assessments, as well as creative ways of expanding upon traditional assessment techniques that can be applied in different learning environments and class sizes.
