Great Lakes Ottomanist Workshop (GLOW) Program 2013

This year's Great Lakes Ottomanist Workshop (GLOW) gathering o f Ottomanist scholars from both sides of the border will take place on Easte r weekend, March 29 -31. The program is attached. The Saturday / SUnday ses sions, many of which highlight new frontiers in Ottoman Studies, are open to faculty and students from Guelph. Please feel free to join us - sessions include roundtables on environmental history in Middle East/Ottoman Studies , the social history of Istanbul, and ethno-religious identities in the lat e Ottoman Empire.

Boarding House Gallery Exhibition "Stranger Stranger" Opening Reception

Opening reception runs 6-9pm. Stranger Stranger is the 2nd exhibition at the Boarding House Ga llery, showing works by the 4th year Specialized Studio undergraduates: S arah Cordeaux, Juliane Foronda, David Winfield, Paul Chartrand, Zoe Down ie-Ross, Patrick Beh, Yusuf Rahmaty, Laura Phan, Nicolas Good, Kimberle y Vanderweyden, Whitnew Arnott, Colleen Savage, Alexandra Ziger, Nadine Maher, Jazmyn Pettigrew, Tyler Muzzin. Stranger Stranger runs from March29-April 27, 2013. Boarding House Gallery Hours are Tues-Fri 12-5pm; Sa t 9am-3pm.
