Scottish Studies presents: John Galt Roundtable

On April 5 the Centre for Scottish Studies is holding a John Galt Roundtable to discuss the life and contributions of John Galt, Scottish novelist, founder of Guelph, and from 1826 to 1829, the first Commissioner of the Canada Company. Guest speakers include: Cairns Craig, Glucksman Professor of Irish and Scottish Studies at the University of Aberdeen Suzanne Evans, a descendant of Galt Robert Lee, diplomat, historian, and author Gil Stelter, Emeritus Professor of History at the University of Guelph Tim Sauer, former librarian at the University of Guelph McLaughlin Library Kathryn Harvey, Head of Archives and Special Collections, McLaughlin Library at the University of Guelph The talks take place in the OAC Boardroom, Johnston Hall from 10:00am to 3:00pm.  For more information, please visit their website at: http://www.uoguelph.ca/history/Scottish%20Studies/John%20Galt%20Roundtable
