History Trivia Night

Please join us for the History Department Trivia Night, November 14th, 7:30pm at the Brass Taps.  As usual, the questions will be devised by our own grad students!   All proceeds will go to the United Way.

Full Spectrum Devotion: The Canadian Literary Agent

Literary Agent and president of Transatlantic Agency, Samantha Haywood, will discuss business and artistic issues in the publishing world from her perspective. Specializing in international publishing and with extensive experience selling authors in North America for publication and TV/film representation, Ms. Haywood represents a diverse and vibrant client list of authors, ranging from award-winning and bestselling fiction to narrative nonfiction and she has a passion for graphic novels. She also handles foreign rights for Drawn & Quarterly.

Compositrice, percussioniste, et co-­‐fondatrice de l’organisme montréalais Supermusique, Danielle Palardy Roger présentera en 1ère partie, une écoute et exploration de textes sonores (Extraits de Bruiducoeur, Prières des infidèles, Fable de la Breuvoir, Voyage en Aphasie Mineure) et en 2ème partie, des jeux de lecture et d’improvisation à partir de textes choisis de Claude Gauvreau.
