Stephanie Deumer is a visual artist currently living and working in Los Angeles. According to her website, her installations are "Comprised of video, sculpture, and photography, [and] often incorporate their environment by using recordings and photographs from their surroundings. Much of her work presents women subjectively experiencing and interacting with their representations, and simultaneously expresses the mise en abyme of their objectification in infinite replications," (stephaniedeumer.com).

Stephanie completed her BA in Studio Art at the U of G in 2011, and earned her MFA (2015) at the California Institute of the Arts. In 2019, she become a fellow with the Independent Study Program at the Whitney Museum in New York, New York. Stephanie is also the recipient of a 2019 Research and Creation Grant from Canada Arts Council. Her previous residencies included Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Cerritos College, and The REEF in Los Angeles.
