Bridget Baldwin (she/her) is a PhD student in the School of English and Theatre Studies at the University of Guelph. She received her BA from Cape Breton University, with a joint major in English and Philosophy. In 2021, she completed her MA at the University of Guelph. Her SSHRC-funded research explored the tensions between personal freedom, agency, and patriarchal control in Sarah Ruhl's Late: A Cowboy Song, Sophie Treadwell's Machinal, and Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House

A playwright, feminist, and Cape Bretoner, Bridget's current research examines the role of gender as it interacts with setller conceptions of "home" in Nova Scotian drama.
