Amy Goodman is the host and executive producer of Democracy Now!, a daily, global news hour, broadcasting on more than 1,400 public television and radio stations around the United States and the world, with millions accessing it online at democracynow.org. An acclaimed international journalist, she has won the Right Livelihood Award, widely known as the Alternative Nobel Prize. Goodman is also the recipient of a lifetime achievement award from Harvard's Nieman Foundation for Journalism, the George Polk Award, the Robert F. Kennedy Prize for International Reporting, and the Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Award. This is her sixth New York Times bestselling book.
Scott Hertz-McWhinnie is the co-host of Open Sources Guelph, CFRU-FM’s weekly political news and current affairs show. He has appeared on Beyond the Ballot Box, The Working Week, Election Radio and developed The Labour Show for rabble.ca, one of the first podcasts of it’s kind in Canada. He has contributed to rankandfile.ca, Canadian Dimension and blogs at spannerbook.wordpress.com. Hertz is the former bass player of The Rebel Girls and currently performs with The Paper Candidates.
