Hannah Goodbrand
Senior Immigration Officer for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
Bachelor of Arts Honours, European Studies (2015)
Today's alumni feature is on Hannah Goodbrand, who graduated in 2015 from our European Studies program in the School of Languages and Literatures. After her time at the U of G, Hannah pursued her Master of Arts in Immigration and Settlement Studies from Ryerson University, as well as a Certificate in Economics. Once her education was completed, Hannah began working in the policy analysis and advising field with Ontario Public Service. Recently, she has transitioned into a position at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada as a Senior Immigration Officer. Her role focuses on examining applications for immigration, citizenship and visas, as well as interviewing people to determine their eligibility for admission, residence, or travel into Canada.
Hannah took advantage of several opportunities to travel abroad for both work and education. During her time at U of G, Hannah studied abroad in France at Université Lumière Lyon 2, and had a work opportunity after graduation as a research advisor in Vietnam.
Congratulations on all your achievements, Hannah! We're proud to have you as a College of Arts alumna.
