An exploration of major works in five main areas of metaphysics: Aristotle's Metaphysics (the ontology of substance), Plotinus' Enneads (emanationism), Spinoza's Ethics (monism), Hegel's Introduction to the Philosophy of History (dialectical idealism), and Heidegger's Introduction to Metaphysics (phenomenological metaphysics).
