Scholarships and Funding | College of Arts

Scholarships and Funding

Funding guarantees are made on the basis of the School’s financial resources and the applicant’s academic merit, but typically, funding would comprise of (1) teaching assistantships (TA) (one in the Fall, and one in the Winter semester) and (2) scholarship(s). In addition, the School of Theatre, Creative Writing and English has a limited number of scholarships that are awarded on a competitive basis to students who qualify.

We encourage applicants to apply for external scholarships before entering one of our programs. Information on Scholarships and Awards should be researched by the applicant. Most applicants wishing to enter the MA program should verify eligibility, and apply to either the Ontario Graduate Scholarship or SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarships-Master's (CGS M) Program.
