Csilla Volford graduated from the University of Guelph in 2010. Inspired by her year abroad, when she participated in a year-long exchange to Université Lyon II in France, she decided to pursue further international education. In 2012, Csilla completed an Erasmus Mundus Double Master of Arts degree in Euroculture from the University of Göttingen in Germany and the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. As part of her graduate studies, she interned at the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy also based in Germany. With the passion of study abroad instilled, Csilla pursued a summer school program at the University of Guadalajara in Mexico to broaden her Spanish language skills. Csilla completed another internship at the Embassy of Canada in Hungary as the Political and Public Affairs Intern where her interest in international education further developed. Knowing she wanted to pursue a career in international education, in 2015 Csilla was hired by Queen’s University’s Office of the Associate Vice-Principal (International). Since that time, Csilla has moved on to a more senior position responsible for the management of international academic partnership at Queen’s University. In order to compliment her line of work, Csilla is currently pursuing a Master of Education degree at Queen’s University focusing on the internationalization of higher education and specifically about study abroad.
