Welcome to the final Where Are They Wednesday of 2019! Today’s special double-feature showcases brothers Dr. David and Dr. Lloyd DeWitt who have both made their own impact in the fine art world and pursued their education at Guelph. David completed his PhD in the School of Fine Art and Music in 2001, while Lloyd completed his Bachelor of Arts in Fine and Studio Art in 1990. Lloyd later went on to pursue his PhD from the University of Maryland College Park in 2006, specializing in Art History, Criticism and Conservation. David is currently in Amsterdam as the Chief Curator at the Museum Het Rembrandthuis (Rembrandt House Museum). He is also an author who published many works on seventeenth-century Dutch paintings. Lloyd is in Norfolk, Virginia, working as the Chief Curator and Irene Leache Curator of European Art of the Chrysler Museum of Art. He is recognized for his publications and expertise as an educator. His doctoral dissertation also focused on Dutch paintings, specifically that of artist Jan Lievens. Want to learn more about the works of both Chief Curators?
