After graduating from the University of Guelph with an English degree, Jeff Marek started his hosting career with Live Audio Wrestling, which was the first MMA program available on radio. Once Live Audio Wrestling had moved, Jeff began to get involved with hockey, hosting a talk show on the Toronto Maple Leafs called “Leafs Lunch.” In 2007, Jeff started working for Hockey Night in Canada for Sirius Satellite Radio and eventually CBC. Since 2011, Jeff joined Sportsnet, leaving Hockey Night in Canada, and where he currently hosts “Thursday Night Hockey,” “Friday Night Hockey,” and co-hosts “Hockey Central Saturday.” 31 Thoughts: The Podcast is a Sportsnet podcast that Jeff also co-hosts, alongside Elliotte Friedman, discussing their own takes on the hockey world with listeners.
