Veronica Austen is an accomplished College of Arts Graduate who is now the Associate Dean and an Associate Professor at St. Jerome’s University within the University of Waterloo. Professor Austen completed her MA and PhD at the University of Waterloo after attending The University of Guelph for her undergraduate degree. Along with being the Associate Dean, Professor Austen is a member of the English Language and Literature faculty. She has various research interests including contemporary poetry, visual arts in literature, Caribbean literature and Canadian literature. Professor Austen’s work often intersects with visual arts after the influence of her Minor in Fine Art here at Guelph.
