Welcome to the School of Theatre, English, and Creative Writing website! Here you will find information on a wide range of indipendent but interrelated programs: BAs in English and Theatre Studies (including film and media), MAs in English and Theatre Studies, an MFA in Creative Writing, and a PhD in Literary and Theatre Studies. SoTEC is uniquely positioned to offer both specific programs of study and the opportunity to make bridges between different fields of interest.

Students in SoTEC programs have the opportunity to work with high profile creative writers, directors, playwrights, and scholars. Our professors are recognized for the quality of their teaching in courses across all levels at the University of Guelph, from first-year to graduate studies.
