Scholarships and Awards at Lang

Future You will be supported by a community

The Lang Scholars Entrance Scholarships were established in 2020 as part of a transformative $21 million gift by Stu and Kim Lang to name the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics in honour of Stu’s father. Redefining business education, the vision of the Lang School is to be recognized globally for our commitment to developing future leaders for a more sustainable world.

As the founder of CCL Industries in 1951, the world’s largest label manufacturers, Gordon S. Lang is a true Canadian success story. A man of values and principle, he embodied all of the characteristics that make U of G business students special; humble, hardworking, entrepreneurial and resilient.

These scholarships aim to attract students who demonstrate a commitment to being ethical and responsible leaders, to community involvement, and who view business as a force for good that can create a more sustainable world.

The chosen Lang Scholars will embody the Lang School's vision of being a leader for a sustainable world.
