Details
Cheer on the College of Biological Science's master’s and PhD students at the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) CBS Heat.
Graduate students are challenged to present their research and its impacts in three minutes or less to a panel of non-specialist judges, distilling complex research in an engaging, accessible and compelling way. Competitors are allowed one slide, but no notes and no props.
The winner and runner-up receive gift cards for $250 and $150, respectively, and move on to compete at the University-level final on May 3. The winner of the University-level competition will compete at the provincial competition, which will be held on May 17 at Queen’s University in Kingston. Learn more about the competition.
This year, you can also come to RICH 3504 earlier (9 a.m.) to listen to Ontario Veterinary College presentations and stay after our College Heat to hear students from the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (11 a.m.).
All 3MT heats are open to everyone. No registration required.
