3MT (Three Minute Thesis) College Heat

3MT® is a university-wide competition for graduate students in which participants present their research, creative activity, and its wider impact in 3 minutes or less to a panel of non-specialist judges. The challenge is to present complex research in an engaging, accessible and compelling way, using only one slide.

Eligible University of Guelph students in a graduate program within the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences can register on the official 3MT webpage to participate. The CEPS College heat takes place March 3, 2020, and the deadline to register is February 17, 2020. The final University-wide competition is on April 3, 2020, with the opportunity to win up to $1,000 (to be paid against tuition).
