Through our outreach initiatives, we extend our academic expertise beyond the campus, reaching out to schools and educational institutions to encourage engagement with science and engineering. Camps/Day Activities:
- Creative Encounters: Promoting interest in STEM among youth living in Guelph and beyond by providing dynamic and hands-on learning experiences.
- After School STEM clubs: Grades 2-8 are welcome to explore STEM, run by our award winning Creative Encounters program.
- Go Code Girl: Open to girls and non-binary youth in grades 7-10 across Canada, Go Code Girl gives students the opportunity to discover the digital skills that will drive tomorrow’s coolest communications, most imaginative innovations, and most essential societal improvements.
- Go ENG Girl: A free annual event organized by Canada’s top universities, Go ENG Girl offers girls and non-binary youth in grades 7-10 the chance to learn more about engineering through a series of fun hands-on activities and exhibits.
Conferences/Special Events:
- Tremaine Visiting Speaker Series For Women in Science: The Tremaine Visiting Speaker for Women in Science was created by a very generous donation from the Tremaine family. The purpose is to bring speakers with expertise/experience relevant to women in STEM.
