Details

Security auditing has been a standard practice in the industry to ensure the accountability and transparency of a system. However, with the emerging technologies (e.g., cloud/edge computing, Internet of Things, Software-Defined Networks, and Network Functions Virtualization), the requirements and challenges of security auditing have been rapidly evolving mainly due to their design complexities, large-scale deployments, and dynamic nature. Dr. Suryadipta Majumdar will discuss on redefining security auditing with new capabilities, such as proactive, blackbox, and light-weight approaches, that would fit more in cloud-native technologies and existing challenges in this field of research.

Dr. Suryadipta Majumdar is an Associate Professor and Concordia-MCN Research Chair at the Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering, Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. He is also a Gina Cody Research and Innovation Fellow and recipient of the Petro-Canada Young Innovator Award 2023. His research focuses on cybersecurity, specifically, cloud computing security, IoT security, and SDN/NFV/5G security.
