CEPS Student Wins Brian D. Sullivan Student Leadership Award

Shaiza Hashmi, Computer Science student in the College of Engineering & Physical Sciences was awared the Brian D. Sullivan Student Leadership Award from Student Experience. This award is presented to a graduating student who has made significant contributions to student leadership through their involvement as an elected or appointed student representative at the University of Guelph. 

During her time at Guelph, Shaiza actively participated in the Guelph Coding Community (GCC) and Guelph Women in Computer Science (GWiCS). She also took on several student leadership roles, serving as vice-president of both Marketing and Finance for the Society of Computing and Information Sciences (SOCIS), co-president and co-founder of GryphHacks, and co-founder and Director of Marketing for the Computing Councils of Canada.
