Networking Events
Career Nights and Employer Panels can provide an excellent opportunity for alumni or industry representatives to share informal information, advice, insight, and personal experience with students interested in learning about your career path and the industry you work in.
These events are typically held in the Fall and Winter semesters and can provide employers or professional associations with a great opportunity to promote to students.
At Career Nights and Employer Panels, employer representatives are asked to come prepared to speak about themselves, including their career, organization or employer, and to share industry insights, tips and information.
Career Nights
In-person Career Nights are typically set up with either roundtables or booths used in a large open space to allow students to drop in and out throughout the course of an evening. Virtual Career Nights utilize a variety of online tools or programs to connect students with employers and industry experts.
Employer Panels
At in-person Employer Panels, representatives typically sit at the front of a room at a longer table and speak to students as a group. Our panels are typically facilitated by a Career Advisor in a question-and-answer style. Virtual Employer Panels will offer the same panel style format with opportunities for Q&A but will be hosted on an online video communication program.
I'm never disappointed by the quality of students that I meet or by the personal connections that the Experiential Learning Hub staff have with them. It without a doubt helps all of us recruit better and ensures that students know they are more than just a number.
