1 Roger Basic Voicemail allows you to receive up to 3 messages each up to 3 minutes in length and you can save each one for up to 3 days.
2 Rogers Enhanced Voicemail allows you to receive up to 35 messages each up to 5 minutes in length and you can save each one for up to 10 days.
3 Bell Message Centre allows you to receive up to 25 messages each up to 5 minutes in length and you can save new messages for up to 7 days and saved messages for up to 14 days.
Note:
Long distance and roaming charges may apply when you you access your voicemail using your mobile phone.
When changing voicemail feature, you need to reset your voicemail password and personal greeting. Any unheard or saved messages will not be transferred to the new voicemail.
e) Roaming
You do not need to add a travel pack when travelling. You will automatically be charged for roaming once you enter that country (as per the lists below)

Note:
1) Threshold for roaming data restriction set to $250 and can be removed by end user.
2) Upon first KB of usage, user will receive a Bell message notifying you are currently roaming via a third party satellite connection. After the initial message notice, user will receive a message notice for every $250 of usage. To continue using data, reply "Y" to the message.
3) The cap of maximum usage is set to $2500 by default. To remove the roaming cap, you must contact the Unviersity's plan administrator.
How To Order
a) Hardware Upgrade and Purchase
Rogers Wireless
1. All users are to send hardware ordering requests to the University's mobile program administrators according to instructions below. Prior to sending the request, please select the devices and obtain approvals from your supervisors.You must be a regular full time employee to be part of the U of G plan.
2. To view and select devices available for University corporate plan users, log in Rogers Direct webiste with view only credentials: user ID "mobile@uoguelph.ca", password "Uoguelph123". DO NOT PLACE ORDERS DIRECTLY FROM THIS SITE, you must send the details of your selection to the Purchasing.helpdesk@uoguelph.ca. Orders placed directly from this site will not be on the University plan and will incur higher costs.
You might experience issues with Rogers Direct when using Google Chrome or Firefox. Please use Microsoft Edge to access Rogers Direct if possible.
3. To check upgrade eligibility, click "Hardware Upgrade", enter user name and phone number;
4. To check hardware products and pricing offered to the Univeristy, click "Buy a New Phone with a New Plan".
5. To check hardware products and pricing for market rates, click "Hardware Only".
6. Once the device is selected, send your ordering requests to purchasing.helpdesk@uoguelph.ca. The University’s mobile program administrators will place orders on your behalf with Rogers hardware fulfillment center.
6. To ensure a quick turnaround, please ensure your request includes all the following information:
- Nature of your request (such as new activation, upgrade)
- Detailed description of the device you would like to purchase
- Existing cell phone number (for upgrade only)
- Ship-to address
- GL coding
- Written approval of the purchase from an authorized person in your department such as departmental manager or designate.
Bell Mobility
1. Users place all hardware orders directly through Bell eOrdering Portal with credentials: Username "UofGuelph", password "UofGuelph2024!";
2. To check upgrade eligibility, log in Bell eOrdering site, go to menu Shop\Upgrade Eligibility, type in your number and click Submit.
3. Users should place order through Bell eOrdering Portal following the instructions below:
- For new activation, always choose New Activation – 2 year activation.
- For existing Bell device upgrade, choose Upgrade – 2 year upgrade.
- To bring your non-Bell number to Bell with a new device purchase, choose New Activation – 2 year activation and check Transferring your number.
- The University’s 26 digit GL coding must be entered in the format of xxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx-63007.
- Rate Plan: Always select Govt of Ontario PFO Plan (ONGVPF5) - $5.00 under Rate Plan Selection.
- Data: Always select PDA-Govt of Ont PFO Smartphone Flex (ONGVPPFOP) - $15.25 under features unless you have a voice/text only phone.
- Travel: All roaming flex plans must be selected unless you have a voice/text only phone.
- Billing Address: Select the University’s billing address from drop down list.
- Shipping Address: Enter your detailed mailing address where your device should be shipped to, including room, building number and contact information, if your mailing address is not on the drop down list. Any special instructions should be put in notes section. Shipping address should be a University business address wherever possible.
4. All Bell eOrdering orders will be routed to the University’s mobile program administrators for approval before being submitted to Bell. You must be a regual full time employee to be part of the U of G plan. You will receive an email confirmation when the order is approved. You will also receive an email confirmation when your order is shipped by Bell.
b) Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Activation and Other Services Changes
For both Rogers Wireless and Bell Mobility users
1. Email purchasing.helpdesk@uoguelph.ca with your detailed request. The University’s mobile program administrators will make the changes with carriers directly.
2. Please note that carriers will not deal with individual users or department administrators directly over service change requests or invoice matter.
3. To ensure a quick turnaround, please ensure the subject of your email is formatted as: mobile number, carrier name, nature of the request.
4. Your request shall include the following information depending on the type of request:
- Cell phone number and user name
- Nature of your request (such as SIM change, name change, termination, port-in, GL Coding change, add/remove feature, etc.)
- Device IMEI if applicable
- SIM number if applicable
- GL Coding if applicable
- For transactions with financial impact, email approval from an authorized person in your department
Monthly Invoice Payment
For both Rogers Wireless and Bell Mobility users
1. Your monthly invoice will be paid automatically by the University. There is no need for you to forward your corproate mobile invoice to Payment Services.
2. You should receive a notification email from your carrier that your invoice is available. For Bell user, the billing date is 1st of each month, and your invoice summary is attached with the email. For Rogers user, the billing date is 15th of each month, and you need to log in your Rogers account to view the invoice. If you do not receive the monthly notification, contact purchasing.helpdesk@uoguelph.ca.
3. You should review your monthly invoice to ensure there is no unexpected or abnormal charges. If there is any charges that you would like to dispute, please email purchasing.helpdesk@uoguelph.ca with a copy of your invoice for investigation.
4. All the University corproate mobile user's invoices can be viewed by department administrators in FRS. Following the steps below to view your department's corproate mobile invoices:
- Log in FRS
- Go to Actual\Transactions\Search(Summary)
- Set the Month Range as desired
- Set the fund, unit, grant, project as needed
- Set the object as 63007
- Set the supplier as "Rogers Wireless%" or "Bell Mobility%" if needed
- Set the Invoice Number as "cell number%" (e.g. 5192222222%), click Run.
