In January, ACE Lang (formerly DECA U Canada) attended the ACE Canada Nationals in Toronto. More than 1,000 delegates from across Canada competed in over 19 different case events, participated in workshops and had an incredible time networking.

ACE Canada prepares emerging leaders at post-secondary institutions in Canada to Achieve, Connect, and Empower through opportunities for growth.

We are proud to announce our student placements in the competition!

Congratulations to Daisy Nguyen, HTM Co-op (’24) placing in the Top 5 for both of her presentations and placing First Overall in the Restaurant and Food Service Management category. Daisy also sang the national anthem at the opening ceremonies!

Congratulations to Andrea Lee, HTM Co-op (’24) and Zachary Palmer, HTM (’23) for placing third as a team in the Marketing Management category!

We asked our students how the ACE competition experience impacted them.

Daisy describes the ACE Nationals as a memorable and nostalgic experience. “I competed in DECA in high school, and it was amazing to see what ACE Canada has become and how strong they are as an organization. I had a lovely time meeting new people, competing in the cases, and spending time with ACE Lang and my friends. It was an honour to compete in the hospitality category, and to place in a field that I am passionate about.”

Andrea really enjoyed the on-the-spot thinking and creativity as well as the presenting skills she developed. “Having that practice with public speaking and especially in subjects that are so relevant in businesses today make it that much more interesting!”

Zachary found the ACE Nationals an incredible experience and one he will always remember. “This was my first time competing in an ACE case competition, and I loved every second of it. It was an excellent opportunity to meet lots of new passionate individuals from other schools, try something new, spend time with my friends, and challenge myself. I was so happy and excited that both Andrea and I were able to place in the marketing management category. Overall, it was a lovely opportunity and an honor to represent our school.”

Congratulations to Ace Lang on winning Chapter of the Year!
