A University of Guelph geography professor teaching global food security in novel ways has received a prestigious research award from the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation, it was announced today.
Evan Fraser will receive one of three 2014 Trudeau Fellowships, worth $225,000 over three years. He is the first U of G professor to receive the honour. For more information see the Universty of Guelph Press release.
The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) annually provides the University of Guelph with an Institutional Grant (IG). The Glocal Classroom project involves four universities on four continents building a global platform for collaboration and interchange in web-based learning. The third in a four seminar series will be held September 17-20, 2014 in Malmö University, Sweden in conjunction with the Ørecomm Centre for Communication and Glocal Change.
