College of Business and Economics welcomes new faculty members
The College of Business and Economics is starting the new academic year with two new faculty faces. Kathleen Rodenburg, assistant professor in the School of Hospitality, Food and Tourism Management and Philippe Lassou, assistant professor of accounting in the Department of Management, officially joined the college on August 1.
About Kathleen Rodenburg
Kathleen Rodenburg’s role will focus on introductory business courses and support for MGMT*4000. She has a PhD in Economics from the University of Guelph, an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Hospitality (also from Guelph). Prior to her PhD, Kathleen was the director of Marketing Innovation with Campbell Soup Company Canada. In addition, she has extensive teaching and curricular design experience in business and economics, at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
About Philippe Lassou
Philippe Lassou has a PhD in accounting and governance from the University of Birmingham (UK) and is a Chartered Certified Accountant. He was previously lecturer of accounting at the University of Southampton (UK) where he taught financial accounting and management accounting to both undergraduate and graduate students and worked on various accounting, governance and development research projects including publications in top tier journals. In addition to his academic experience, he worked in the banking sector as financial analyst and in the non-financial sector as finance manager.
