'Green' buildings bring in more green according to study by prof. Avis Devine
Environmentally friendly office buildings have higher rents, higher occupancy rates and more satisfied tenants, according to a study by real estate and housing professor Avis Devine.
The study, published recently in the Journal of Portfolio Management, examined 10 years of data from 2004 to 2013, and included 58 million square feet of office space. Devine completed the research in collaboration with Nils Kok of Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
