Call for Contributions

Call for Contributions

There are two ways participants can submit academic content for the PRME North American Regional Meeting;

1) Abstract Submissions - PRME Conference

We invite papers from educators that are incorporating or responding to the six principles of PRME in some way. Contributions may be either conceptual or empirical in nature, and are welcomed from any topic area so long as their primary focus is on how the six principles of PRME are incorporated in the learning and/or teaching issues in management or organization studies.

We invite papers describing initiatives that;

  • integrate CSR into a course or curriculum of a program,
  • incorporate CSR research into the curriculum,
  • engage with the community on issues of CSR,
  • integrate sustainability accounting,
  • engage with the private sector to advance towards the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),
  • explain how the SDGs are reflected in the conceptualization, organization, and practice of management education.

Please send 600-word abstracts and contact details to drezania@uoguelph.ca with the subject "PRME regional meeting 2017”. Selected participants will be notified by April 30 and invited to submit complete drafts of their papers by October 1, 2017.

2) Pre-Meeting Workshop Papers - "Boardwalk Papers"

Participants who wish to discuss their teaching innovations, in a less formal setting, are encouraged to submit a one-page paper to be discussed during the Pre-Meeting Workshop at beautiful Crawford Lake. Each participant will have up to five minutes to share their innovation, with the aim of advancing one or more of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. While a paper is not necessary for participation, we encourage everyone to submit one.

Please send your one-page paper, with the subject"Boardwalk Papers 2017” to Julia Christensen Hughes at jchriste@uoguelph.ca. Accepted papers will be published on this website prior to the Regional Meeting.

NOTE: The Crawford Lake/Boardwalk Tour is an optional component of the PRME Regional Meeting. More information on the Pre-Meeting Workshop Agenda
