Bake Sale and Pumpkin Carving Contest

Hi everyone! Halloween is fast-approaching and the MCB Graduate Student Council and Holiday Party Planning Committee have two upcoming events to celebrate the season! Together, we will be hosting the annual Lab vs. Lab Pumpkin Carving Contest and a bake sale in the SSC Atrium on Tuesday, October 31 from 2-4 PM. Please see the details below and attached poster for more information on both events.

Frank Plummer at 2017 Gairdner Lecture

Join us Oct. 25 for the 2017 Gairdner Lecture, “Untold Stories of the National Microbiology Laboratory” presented by Frank Plummer. Plummer is the recipient 2016 Canada Gairdner Wightman Laureate for his groundbreaking research in Africa in understanding HIV transmission and his leadership at the Canadian Microbiology Laboratory with pivotal roles on SARS, influenza and Ebola epidemics.
