Agri-food Economics Students Excel at National Agri-food Policy Conference

Two MSc students from OAC's Department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics (FARE) have been recognized for their exceptional achievements at the 15th Annual Agri-food Policy Conference** in Ottawa.  

Andrews Sai earned first place in the Policy Brief Competition, while Alex DesRochers secured third place in the Poster Competition. Their success demonstrates the OAC and FARE's leadership in agricultural policy research and the quality of its graduate programs.  

The annual conference, which brings together thought leaders in agri-food policy, focused this year on the theme “Agricultural Policy Challenges in an Era of Instability.” Discussions tackled pressing issues such as climate change, trade disruptions, and the increasing pressures on agriculture to produce more with fewer resources.
