We're a young startup in that position and we just got in our first pitch competition, the Canadian National Exhibition's Emerging Innovators Pitch Competition. On May 21, 2019 Dr. Sherri Cox, Executive Director of Research Innovation and Knowledge Mobilization, announced the latest recipients sharing a total of $420,000 in Gryphon’s LAAIR funding. Made possible by the Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance, Gryphon's LAAIR Grants are ideal for identifying target markets and testing concepts with end users.
Research Innovation Office (RIO) is thrilled that Dr. Amar Mohanty has recently been awarded an NSERC Synergy Award for Innovation in recognition of his collaboration with Competitive Green Technologies, Prism Farms and 1797472 Ontario Inc. The event, held on May 21, celebrated the amazing innovators who are putting knowledge into action in ways that have an impact on the Ontario economy and beyond.
The University of Guelph has a long tradition of innovative research with real-world applications. The results can be found on farms, in labs, and even at the ice cream counter. Almost 100 years ago, Dr. Charles Zavitz developed cereal grains that benefited dairy farmers. Just over 50 years ago, Dr. Garnet Johnston developed the popular Yukon Gold potato, and recently Prof.
