Food Security, Workforce Development, and Recognizing International Trained Planners - SEDRD Represented in the Latest Issue of Y Magazine

SEDRD graduate students and faculty are well represented in the latest issue of Y Magazine from the Ontario Professional Planners Institute. This issue of Y Magazine contains three contributions from SEDRD graduate students and faculty: 

  • Silvia Sarapura, Paul Benalcazar, Charlotte Potter, Justina Walker, Firoze Alam, Danial Salari, and Dakota Cherry share insights on the Braiding Food Systems research taking place with three northern Ontario First Nations (Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg, Biinjitiwaabik Zaaging, Red Rock Indian Band). 
  • Ryan Gibson, Heather Graham, Paul Sitsofe, Niju Mathew, and Sarah-Patricia Breen share insights on innovative approaches to workforce development in rural and northern Ontario. 
  • Regan Zink, Ramy Shath, Maryam Sabzevari, Chris Tyrrell, and Ryan Des Roches discuss how internationally trained planners can actively contribute to the planning across Ontario.
