Prof. Sean Kelly Receives Recognition at the SSC-UAIC Reception
The Student Senate Caucus and the Undergraduate Academic Information Centre held its ‘Recognition of the Contribution of Teaching’ reception on Monday, March 31, 2014 at the University of Guelph. Professor Sean Kelly was one of the recipients who was acknowledged for his contributions to the academic experience of students. Sean was nominated by BLA Student Senator, Justin Whalen, a 4th year BLA student.
The nomination praises Professor Kelly as someone who:
“embodies the exceptional qualities expected of an educator”;
“teaching within a smaller program such as BLA, he has the unique opportunity to interact individually with every student, something he utilizes to its full advantage. The breadth of his experience as both an educator and a practicing landscape architect allows him to make valuable contributions and offer meaningful guidance to the professional development of every student”;
“a passion for his work that is infectious and genuine interest in the progress of his students combined with a fervent enthusiasm to promote and elevate the profession of Landscape Architecture are the attributes that define Professor Kelly as a favourite among BLA students”.
