Maurice Nelischer
After working at the University of Guelph for over 35 years, Maurice Nelischer has certainly earned his title of Professor Emeritus. He hasn’t actually retired though – he is still a knowledgeable and entertaining lecturer in the landscape architecture programs and has recently become the University of Guelph’s Director of Sustainability. In the past he has directed the School of Landscape Architecture as well as the entire School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, researching and pioneering a lot of things along the way, especially in regards to public input into designs. He is one of the first graduates of Guelph’s MLA program, an alumnus of the second class in 1978.
