The provisional recommendations outline considerations for instructors for incorporating generative AI in the following areas:

- in courses for student use, including considerations for designing and grading student assessments that incorporate generative AI

Memo on the Use of GenAI Detection Tools and Academic Misconduct Related to GenAI
This memo, shared in Fall 2024, outlines the rationale for not authorizing the use of GenAI detection tools for the detection and prosecution of academic misconduct. Question Guide for Suspected Academic Misconduct Related to GenAI Misuse
This Question Guide can be adapted by instructors to guide conversations with students about their use of GenAI on a particular assignment or activity. If you suspect that a student may have submitted work in violation of the University's policy on academic misconduct, this Question Guide offers sample questions and a process for talking with a student about their work.
