Throughout February, Wellness@Work is hosting a series of Lunch n’ Learn screening events for faculty and staff. As February is “Heart Month”, we encourage you to come out and learn more about how you can keep your heart and mind healthy.
Bring your lunch and come out for a Wellness@Work screening of “The Secret to Living Longer may be your Social Life.”
Description: The Italian island of Sardinia has more than six times as many centenarians as the mainland and ten times as many as North America. Why? According to psychologist Susan Pinker, it's not a sunny disposition or a low-fat, gluten-free diet that keeps the islanders healthy -- it's their emphasis on close personal relationships and face-to-face interactions. Learn more about super longevity as Pinker explains what it takes to live to 100 and beyond.
Snacks will be provided, but we encourage you to bring your lunch!
Unable to join us over lunch? Check out the video that will be screened here: https://www.ted.com/talks/susan_pinker_the_secret_to_living_longer_may_be_your_social_life
