The campus ASIST training team ise excited to be offering a two-day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) on December 11 and 12, 2019. This training is open to any current University of Guelph faculty, staff, or student and is strongly recommended for individuals who have direct responsibilities for assisting those experiencing significant difficulties, or those who work outside of normal business hours who may need to deal with a crisis situation without available professional support. Learn more about what to expect during an ASIST training on the LivingWorks website.

Because this is the training team's first ASIST offering, the workshop is being offered for free. Future offerings will come with a nominal fee.

Individuals will be registered on a first-come-first-served basis through the online ASIST registration form. Registration will close on Friday, December 6, 2019.

Please note that in order to participate you must be present for the full two days, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, December 11 and December 12.

If you have questions or want to be notified about future offerings, please contact Jean Thompson (thompsja@uoguelph.ca).
