GREAT at U of G is an initiative designed to enhance the culture of gratitude, recognition and appreciation for all faculty and staff at the University. It is important for all employees to know that they are valued and that what they do makes a real difference. Openly appreciating people for who they are and recognizing what they accomplish are key factors in employee wellness, and support U of G’s vision of a thriving workforce, organization, and community.
"G" Thanks! is a recognition program to help recognize and show appreciation for colleagues and employees at U of G. Each month, employees are invited to post a note of recognition or appreciation on the "G" Thanks! Kudoboard for that month. At the end of each month, nominated individuals will randomly be selected from the monthly Kudoboard to receive the "G" Thanks! gift. The winner will have a visit from members of the GREAT at U of G team, the nominator, and their Manager.
The monthly winner will receive:
- A "G" Thanks! water bottle
- Gryphon mask
- Beeswax lip balm

The "G" Thanks! board will be open monthly and the winner will be awarded their prize the following month.
