Event Description
While the University of Guelph is preparing for a safe return to work after the pandemic, the Campus Safety Office Special Constable Bicycle Patrol Team is doing their part by promoting a leisurely bicycle ride as a return to work Wellness@work program. The bicycle ride is designed to engage staff and faculty and their families to get out for some exercise, meet other members of their community, and get to know their workplace on a broader level. The ride will encompass a general tour of the campus with focus on hotspots such as the Arboretum, Gryphon Statue, the newly renovated Alumni Stadium and a general ride through the main campus including Branion Plaza. Please ensure all bicycles are in working condition with a working bell or horn and that riders are equipped with helmets. Rain gear and/or sunscreen are recommended.
Join us after the ride too!
The ride will end at Johnston Green where all participants will be able to mingle with one another and children will have the opportunity to meet various first responders from the community and climb aboard emergency vehicles. An ice cream truck will be available free of charge to grab a treat while you connect with others and share time with your family!
