The Guelph Centre for Urban Organic Farming (GCUOF) is a one-hectare learning and research facility established by the Ontario Agricultural College within the Department of Plant Agriculture at the University of Guelph and is a certified organic farm.
The following tour will be an introduction to the GCUOF. During this tour we will look at the different crops growing in the field, tool used at the farm and briefly discuss some projects the GCUOF is involved in. Enjoy a walk over the lunch hour and learn about all the amazing work that the GCUOF does for the U of G community, including supplying the University Centre Chef's Hall with produce!
Tour Guide:
Mike Smith, GCUOF farm coordinator, will be guiding this tour. As the Farm Coordinator, Mike manages the day-to-day farm operations, including planning and preparing materials for the cropping season.
