Tier 1 Research Program Town Hall and OMAFRA Discovery and Dialogue Meeting

A town hall information session will take place Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 2 p.m. in ANNU room 141 (Animal Science and Nutrition building). The meeting can also be attended via Microsoft Teams at the link below. No registration is required. The presentation will be posted to the Alliance website after the meeting.

University of Guelph Bean Breeding & Genetics Program Open House

The eighth annual University of Guelph Bean Breeding and Genetics Program Open House will be held at the Ontario Crops Research Centre – Elora on Thursday August 25 at 1 p.m. Join the team for lunch and an in-person tour of the U of G dry bean breeding and genetics research program. The event is open to anyone. To help plan the event and lunch please RSVP to Lyndsay Schram, lschram@uoguelph.ca, by August 18, 2022.  

Ontario Bean Growers Present: Research Day, Plot Tour & BBQ

Join the Ontario Bean Growers for their annual research day, plot tour and BBQ. The day begins with research presentations at 1pm. At 4 p.m., Dr. Peter Sikkema and Chris Gillard will lead a tour of the plots at the Ontario Crops Research Centre - Huron (Huron Research Station) and the day ends with a steak BBQ.

Addressing Complex Problems in Agriculture and the Environment

Knowledge Exchange Event Profiling research and initiatives and building knowledge around the concept of transdisciplinary research, complex problem solving, and One Health. The goal of this event is to bring awareness to this topic, highlight research in this area and create an opportunity for open discussion. Join us to build capacity around transdisciplinary research and One Health in Ontario’s agri-food sector, environment, and human health. The event will explore addressing complex problems in agriculture and the environment through research.
