Congratulations to our 2022 3MT winners!
We are thrilled to announce the results of the COA heat of the prestigious, international Three Minute Thesis competition.
The two top-place winners are (drum roll please):
First place, winner of the $300 COA prize: Mackenzie Turner, MA student in French Studies: Sociolinguistic competencies of Non-Native Language Learners — The Learning and Acquisition of Lexical Variants amongst Learners of French as a Second Language in Ontario.
Second place, winner of the $200 COA prize: Carey West, PhD candidate in Critical Studies in Improvisation: Performing Innocence — Vocal Improvisation and Women's Testimony of Intimate Partner Violence.
Both Mackenzie and Carey are now eligible to submit their powerful three-minute videos to the university-level heat in mid-April, where they will be competing against entrants from the other colleges and in the running to win the $1,000 top prize. We are very proud to have their work represent the College of Arts.
