Nominations Open for Carl Rom Colthoff Experiential Learning Award
The College of Arts is thrilled to announce the nomination period is open for the Carl Rom Colthoff Experiential Learning Award, administered by the Experiential Learning Hub at the University of Guelph. This award, generously established by U of G Alumnus Carl Rom Colthoff, aims to recognize students who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to community engagement through their participation in University-organized experiential learning opportunities.
Nominations for this distinguished award will be accepted until February 23, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. All members of the U of G community are invited to consider nominating deserving candidates.
The Carl Rom Colthoff Experiential Learning Award is presented annually to a current U of G student in good standing or a student who graduated in the fall semester immediately preceding the award deadline. To qualify, the student must have taken the initiative to contribute more significantly to their community by participating in a University-organized, experiential learning opportunity. Eligible experiential learning opportunities include Catalyst experiences, community-engaged learning courses, field courses, the Peer Helper Program, practicums, and Undergraduate Research Assistant/Undergraduate Student Research Award positions.
The award winner will be presented with a certificate of recognition alongside a monetary award of $500. Their achievement will be publicly celebrated on the Experiential Learning Hub website and various social media platforms.
