SOFAM & ASTRA presents Lawrence Weschler

Lawrence Weschler is a staff writer for “The New Yorker” magazin e and director of the New York Institute for the Humanities at New York Univ ersity. He is a well-published author, including, “Mr. Wilson's Cabinet ofWonder” (about the curator of the Museum of Jurassic Technology), and “Eve rything That Rises: A Book of Convergences” which won The National Book Crit ics Circle Award for criticism. His most recent book, “Uncanny Valley: Adve ntures in the Narrative” is currently being widely released. This is a fre e lecture.

Remembrance Day

For anyone unable to attend the service in War Memorial Hall the re will be a bugler in Branion Plaza who will mark the eleventh hour with th e Last Post and a minutes silence followed by Reveille.
