Daniel MacLeod presents his colloquium paper, “Sovereignty, Symmetry and the Sacrament: The Church and Order in Early Sixteenth Century Glasgow,” on Tuesday, May 10 from 1:00 - 3:00pm in 2020 MacKinnon Extension. Daniel MacLeod is a doctoral candidate in the Tri-University Graduate Program in History at the University of Guelph.

Workshop: Rethinking the History of Science and Technology in a Global Context

The Rethinking the History of Science and Technology in a Global Context Workshop takes place on May 5 in the lecture room of the Macdonald Stewart Art Centre from 10am - 4pm. The workshop is organized by Tara Abraham and Sofie Lachapelle of the Department of History. Its aim is to generate dialogue and discussion on ways to foster global awareness in teaching history of science and technology.

4th Annual GTA Symposium on History, Philosophy, and Social Studies of Science, Technology, and Medicine

Tara Abraham and Sofie Lachapelle are proud to announce that the University of Guelph is hosting the 4th Annual GTA Symposium on History, Philosophy, and Social Studies of Science, Technology, and Medicine on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 10am to 4pm. The symposium is an effort on the part of scholars in the GTA to foster opportunities for communication and to provide a forum for scholarly exchange, bringing together faculty and graduate students interested in a range of topics and approaches constitutive of HPS/STS.
