4th Annual GTA Symposium on History, Philosophy, and Social Studies of Science, Technology, and Medicine

Tara Abraham and Sofie Lachapelle are proud to announce that the University of Guelph is hosting the 4th Annual GTA Symposium on History, Philosophy, and Social Studies of Science, Technology, and Medicine on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 10am to 4pm. The symposium is an effort on the part of scholars in the GTA to foster opportunities for communication and to provide a forum for scholarly exchange, bringing together faculty and graduate students interested in a range of topics and approaches constitutive of HPS/STS.

Kevin James on the Guelph Civic Museum

On Saturday 30 April 2011 at Artisanale Restaurant, 37 Quebec Street, Dr. Kevin James sponsors a spring fundraising afternoon tea in support of Guelph Museums, comprising the Guelph Civic Museum (soon to be relocated in the renovated Loretto Convent) and McCrae house, a national historic site.

Spring Fundraising Tea for Guelph Museums

On Saturday 30 April 2011 , Artisanale Restaurant on Quebec Str eet will be the venue for a spring fundraising afternoon tea in support of G uelph Museums, comprising the Guelph Civic Museum (soon to be relocated in the renovated Loretto Convent) and McCrae house, a national historic site. The event, from 3:00-4:30 pm, features a delicious range of food, inc luding sandwiches and pastries prepared by the Artisanale team, and live ha rp music. Tickets are $60 per person, with an anticipated tax receipt v alued at approximately $30.
