Beastification and the Human
Paola Mayer & Ruediger Mueller are associate professors in the School of Languages and Literature. They are currently collaborating on several research projects related to Alexander Moritz Frey (1881-1957), an author who fled Germany in 1933. His works include satires,psychological studies, fantastic tales, many of them criticizing political developments between the wars. Paola Mayer’s recent publications include essays on Romantic aesthetics and a co-edited volume entitled Romanticism, Humanism, Judaism: The Legacy of Hans Eichner. Ruediger Mueller’s recent publications treat German film.
