Employer Eligibility
- The program is open to any business with 7+ employees in Guelph or Wellington County.
- The employer can offer entry-level employment opportunities for graduating College of Arts students starting between April and June.
- The employer provides meaningful employment and career development opportunities for the apprentice.
- The employer provides a one-year, paid, full-time professional experience that provides mentorship, skill development and the ability for a new employee to contribute to the growth and development of a local organization.
- Job opportunities must meet a minimum salary of $35,000 annually.
Program Benefits
- Employers receive a maximum grant of $10,000 per position to cover the first two and last two months of the 12-month position.
- Grant reimburses employers for the first two and last two months of the 12-month apprenticeship.

Who are the students that qualify for this program?
Graduating Students in their final academic year from one of the following two streams:

College of Arts, Honours or General BA Program, majoring or specializing in:

Art History, Classical Studies, Creative Writing, Culture & Technology Studies, English, European Studies, French Studies, History, Music, Philosophy, Sexualities, Genders and Social Change, Spanish and Hispanic Studies, Studio Art, or Theater Studies.

Bachelor of Arts and Science with College of Arts specialization, defined as:

Art History, Black Canadian Studies, Classical Studies, Creative Writing, Culture & Technology Studies, English, French Studies, History, Media and Cinema Studies, Museum Studies, Music, Philosophy, Sexualities, Genders and Social Change, Studio Art, or Theater Studies.
