Middle East Scholars Society

In the Winter of 2010, faculty, graduate and undergraduate students in the History Department, along with a few Political Science graduate students at the University of Guelph, started to hold bi-weekly seminars under the name of the Middle East Scholars Society (MESS), to promote a neutral understanding of the history, culture and politics of Middle Eastern and Northern African (ME-NA) countries.

History Research

The History Department is home to a community of active scholars with particular strengths in the histories of aboriginal peoples, tourism, environment, food and animals, rural life, Scotland, gender and the medieval world, and more.
